Today we are taking a trip to Taupe Town.
When you’re in Taupe Town, it’s always pleasant, neutral, and nice. You have conversations about whether grays and browns can also be lavenders, and whether this brown is cool enough to be taupe or if it is more a mauve.
You ask questions like, is a cool brown always a taupe, or is there a space on Earth just for cool browns? Is this a greige (gray mixed with beige), or is this a taupe (gray mixed with brown)?
Things never get more serious than that.
It’s light, it’s airy and most of all it’s pleasing to the eyes.
For these reasons, it’s easy to love a good taupe nail polish, and we hope you love them too.
Taupe is a color existing somewhere between gray and brown, with hints of each in varying amounts. It’s a neutral color that can be worn to work and gatherings, and almost any location in between.
One thing all taupes share in common is that they are universally elegant, classy colors.
They can be dark in hue, as you’ll see below, and they can also be lighter shades, heading into the category of greige.
As mentioned above, greige is a color like taupe, but it is a mix between beige (light brown) and gray - a slightly lighter color than classic taupes and just as elegant.

This gorgeous taupe is shown in two coats, and it is a classy gray-brown that takes on a lavender hue in some lighting.

If you like Taupe-less Beach but also like soft silver shimmer that hints to pearl, that’s From Rodeo to Rodeo Drive.
From Rodeo to Rodeo Drive is shown here in two coats, and it’s just as elegant as Taupe-less Beach, but with an added pearlescent finish. Application is easy and it dries quickly. Comparatively, it looks like a cooler version of OPI’s Gingerbread Man Can.

OPI Berlin There Done That
Berlin There Done That is a browner taupe, and darker when compared to Taupe-less Beach, but it still has strong gray undertones.
From the Germany Collection, this pleasant shade is opaque in two coats.

Hailing from the Iceland Collection, this color is a little more on the warm brown side of the taupe spectrum. In the bottle it looks very similar to Berlin There Done That, though it is a bit lighter than this shade, and more milky chocolatey once it hits the nail.
OPI calls it a dove-beige. You could technically call it a greige.
It’s opaque in two coats, dries quickly and the formula is smooth.
