Kleancolor is a beauty brand based in Ontario, CA and they make affordable quality nail shades, in addition to other makeup products.
There are a variety of metallic nail polish sets on Amazon and the Kleancolor set you’ll see sampled in this post has the highest number of reviews, 11k+ at current writing.
So we figured it was worth trying this brand on for size.
If you’re not familiar with Kleancolor polish, they usually sell nail polishes at lower prices and in cute sets with themes.
Metallic White #157 (silver white glitter, pictured in this post)
Metallic Pink #158 (cool pink glitter)
Metallic Mango #159 (burnt orange glitter)
Metallic Orange #160 (orange glitter)
Metallic Red #161 (red glitter)
Metallic Yellow #162 (yellow gold glitter, pictured in this post)
Metallic Green #163 (spring green glitter)
Metallic Aqua #164 (bright blue glitter)
Metallic Sapphire #165 (navy glitter)
Metallic Fuschia #166 (pink-purple glitter)
Metallic Purple #167 (deep purple glitter)
Metallic Black #168 (black silver glitter)
Of the shades we sampled so far, they stay on the nail well, apply easily, and cover the nails in two coats.
Metallic White, pictured above and below, is a bit sheer in two coats, and it provides an icy-silver shimmer in the sunlight.
Metallic Yellow is pictured below as a yellow-gold French Manicure. It is fully opaque in two coats and worn over a clear base coat with only a top coat covering the design.
To paint the gold on, use the white line of each nail's free edge as a guide, line up your brush and drag it to the tip.
Some common questions about Kleancolor:
Where is Kleancolor Made?
Kleancolor is headquartered in Ontario, CA which is between Riverside, CA and Los Angeles, CA. However, these Kleancolor metallic polishes have “MADE IN CHINA” stamped on the back of each bottle.
So while their business may be based in the USA it appears that the manufacturing for this set is sourced from elsewhere in the world.
Is Kleancolor Cruelty Free?
Yes, they are a cruelty free brand, however, Kleancolor is currently not certified by Leaping Bunny or PETA.
So far the Kleancolor polishes from this metallic set have been easy to use and easy to remove, which is saying a lot for a glitter polish - typically glitter nail lacquers are a challenge to remove but this was not the case with this set. The fact that they are easy to remove is a selling point for sure.
If your goals include seeing your nails shine in the sunlight, having an easy to remove glitter nail polish, and filling up your nail stockpile for a consumer friendly price, this set is a great value.
